Biography

Carcassonne-born Jean-Philippe Baille played for his home town club, AS Carcassonne, in the French Elite XIII before a one-year stint with French Rugby Union side Stade Toulousain.

He returned to the XIII code in 2008, and was called up to the France Rugby League World Cup 2008 squad after impressing then coach John Monie and being awarded 'Young Player of the Year' for Super League side Catalan Dragons.

Hampered by a series of injuries in recent years, centre Baile will hope to put misfortune behind him with an impressive Rugby League World Cup 2013 campaign.
