Biography

Kevin came through the junior system at the Vodafone Warriors to become an established NRL player and then a Kiwi. That’s a path Shaun Johnson, Ben Matulino and Elijah Taylor also followed.

A fullback or winger, Kevin is one of the quickest in the Kiwis squad. He’s also not short on bravery, as a try-scoring collision with the goal posts in an NRL match against the Sydney Roosters in 2010 especially highlighted.

Having made his NRL debut in 2009, Kevin was called into the Kiwis for that year’s Four Nations campaign but didn’t take the field. He had to wait until October 2011 to make his debut, which he did in a 42-6 loss to the Kangaroos in Newcastle, Australia. His try was a minor consolation. Kevin started every match for the Kiwis in the 2011 Four Nations tournament.

A Northcote Tigers junior, Kevin missed selection for the Kiwis in 2012 due to injury and the emergence of Josh Hoffman.
