Biography

Having made his Kiwis debut in 2005, Manu enjoyed success quickly as part of the Tri Nations winning team that year. The Kiwis beat the Kangaroos 24-0 in the final in Leeds and Manu scored two tries.

Manu was one of the stars of the 2008 World Cup. The giant winger got four tries against England in pool play, started on the wing for the Kiwis in the final, and was named RLIF’s winger of the year.

In New Zealand, Manu is a cult figure with his mix of power, speed and off-field smiles making him popular with fans of all ages. He even features in his own underwear advertisements.

Manu has played his entire NRL career at the Vodafone Warriors, and is their all-time leading try-scorer, having passed 100 tries last season.

Among the things Manu has done to ensure he gets to RLWC2013 in top shape is beat Olympic rowing gold medallist Eric Murray in a charity boxing match.
