Visit Rochdale

Set beneath hills and wild moorland at the edge of the South Pennines, Rochdale’s beautiful landscape offers a world of adventure. And it’s all within easy reach of the buzzing city centres of Manchester and Leeds.

Rochdale is also the birthplace of the modern worldwide Co-operative Movement and the borough has the widest selection of ‘Enjoy England’ quality graded accommodation in Greater Manchester. Just add the famous Lancastrian warmth of the people and you’ll get a great ‘Welcome to Rochdale’.

By Car

Spotland Stadium is just over two miles from junction 20 of the M62. Follow signs for Rochdale along the A627(M). At the first set of traffic lights, bear left, past B&Q on your right-hand side, and follow this road until the next set of traffic lights. Here, you need to be in the second of four lanes, heading straight across (Tesco is on your left-hand side). Follow this road until the next set of traffic lights, remaining in the left-hand lane to go straight across (the Cemetery pub is diagonally opposite on the right-hand side). Continue along this road and the stadium is on your right after approximately half a mile.
