Bobcats Set To Become New Canadian Domestic Club

Rugby League in Canada continues to make progress towards the re-establishment of a domestic league with the formation of the St Catherine’s Bobcats Rugby League club.

The side, based in the Niagara region of Ontario, over an hour south of Toronto, has been boosted by the recruitment of Canada’s most capped Rugby League player, Josh Canning.

Canning, will join current CRL Development officer, Chris Diamond and Referees Director, Paul Byrne in running the new club, which is aiming to play competition matches later this year.

The Bobcats will conduct their first training session this Wednesday, June 30th  at Montebello Park starting at 7pm. Participates who will also be eligible for Canada Mounties’ first clash in the ‘War of the Shore’ tournament against American club sides in late July.
