Mo the merrier for Gillette Four Nations stars

Stars from all four teams competing in this year’s Gillette Four Nations are pledging their support for ‘Movember’, with players electing to ditch the razor for the entire duration of the month.

Members from all four competing nations have joined together to cultivate top lip enhancement for the month with the aim of raising vital funds and increasing awareness for men’s health issues, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

The funds raised in the UK support the number one and two male specific cancers - prostate and testicular cancer. The funds raised are directed to programmes run directly by Movember and their men’s health partners, The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research.

“It’s a great cause and creates a lot of much needed awareness that surrounds men’s health,” said England star Gareth Ellis, who along with team-mate Jamie Jones Buchanan is growing a moustache for the campaign.

“It’s important that we get behind the charity and discuss men’s health more openly. All the England boys have been giving me some stick at my attempts so far, but I keep telling them I’m not really old enough to grow a ‘tash!”
