The Stadium is home to professional Rugby League side Warrington Wolves who have been members of the elite Super League since its inception in 1996. The club was founded in 1876 and became one of the founding members of the Rugby League in 1895. In recent years the club has celebrated three Challenge Cup titles in 2009, 2010 and 2012; 2011 saw them lift the League Leaders trophy and in 2012 the team reached the Grand Final for the first time.

 

The stadium hosted its first game in February 2004 and since then has become renowned for holding Super League, Challenge Cup and International games. The stadium is situated in a prime location on the edge of Warrington town centre with easy access via road or rail.

By Car

 

From the North - Take Junction 9 off the M62 and head south towards Warrington along the A49. After 1.5 miles, go straight on through the lights with McDonald’s on the right. Proceed past the Tesco Superstore and the Halliwell Jones Stadium before turning right at next set of traffic lights. At the small roundabout take the first exit onto Winwick Street and you will see the entrance to the Pay and Display Car Park 50 yards further on, on the right-hand side. The stadium is immediately across from the Tesco superstore.

 

From the South - Leave M6 at Junction 21 follow the A57 towards Warrington until you reach Cockhedge roundabout. Take the exit signposted, A49 Wigan.

Turn left at the next set of lights onto Pinners Brow. At the traffic circle take the first exit on to Winwick Street and you will see the entrance to the Pay and Display Car Park 50 yards further on, on the right.

The stadium is immediately across from the Tesco store. Please do not park on the Tesco car park on a match day.

 

By Bus

 

Warrington Bus Station is a short distance from the Stadium, near to Central Train Station. Exit the station and turn left down Winwick Street and past Central Station (on your right) and continue down towards the stadium.

By Coach 

There is no on-site parking at the stadium for coaches or mini buses. Coach parking will be allocated on Matalan car park on Winwick Road and at the ASDA depot on Dallam Lane – for both official and unofficial coaches.  Coaches parking at ASDA depot will drop off and pick up spectators on Dallam Lane.  After drop off coaches will then be directed to park at the ASDA depot.  Coaches MUST NOT unload at ASDA Depot.  Temporary directional signage will be in place.

 

By Rail


The nearest station to the stadium is Warrington Central. When leaving the station turn right, you will see the Martin Dawes East Stand. Continue walking down the road and you will reach the Stadium.

Warrington Bank Quay Station is just over a mile from the Stadium, we suggest you take a taxi from the rank at the entrance, the journey should take no more than 3-5 minutes.
